Registering a company in Oman is fast and cost-effective. If all documents are in order, the entire process—from name approval to receiving the Commercial Registration (CR) certificate—usually takes 1 to 2 weeks.
For a Limited Liability Company (LLC), the initial registration fee is around OMR 295, depending on the company type and share capital.
Recent reforms have made the process easier for foreign investors. As of April 2024, CR fees for foreigners have been reduced and equalized with those for Omani nationals.
Additional costs include annual Chamber of Commerce dues and a small sponsor fee. In total, entrepreneurs can expect to pay around OMR 300–500 for basic registration and licensing.
